More graphical logo illustration. This one goes for the fictional rivals to the fictional cyberpunk street gang posted last time (the Screaming Tsunamis, for those of you keeping track). In opposition to the previous gang, who were rampaging violent psychos, these guys are guntoting vigilantes with their own sense of justice, and their logo is intended to reflect that.

Let’s see if I can’t come up with something smooth for their corporate version next.

New illustration - done on short time, this one. I can see what all this hullabaloo with regards to speedpainting is, its incredibly informative.

Even more graphical, this time around. A fictional logo for the selfsame fictional cyberpunk gang if they fictionally evolved into a fictional power-hungry corporation bent on owning and making as much money as they can.

The goals set here were “believably corporate”, “futuristic”, and “these guys are the bad guys”. You’ll have to let me know how close I came to hitting that mark.

Something a little more graphical this time - a fictional logo, for a fictional cyberpunk gang of thugs. Meant to go on the back of a fictional leather jacket and get splattered with fictional blood with fictional samurai swords and v-guns.

An old entry from my sketchbook that’s been sitting around forever.

This one’s not related to any of my previous projects - I’ve already had two people ask me if the original sketch was based on Perdition. I don’t know why people equate me with drawings of demons and terrible things. No wait, that’s not true.

As it is, this one’s filing itself under practice, though I’ve versions large enough to print.

I almost wish I did this sort of thing more often, these simple, self-contained ideas. I could probably have a go at running a line of shirts of apparel with designs like these. At least, the stuff that’s seen on shirts these days sure convinces me that that’s possible.

Haven’t posted anything here in a while - putting up some assorted thoughts here and there that I’ve been squeezing in between all my other projects.

A gold fairy/sprite thing, dashing through the VAST EMPTINESS that apparently surrounds her. I want to add a background to this at some point, something a little art nouveau and decorative, perhaps.

The sketch for this has been sitting in my sketchbook for AGES.

Since I’m planning to do a series of illustrations/paintings, I finally decided to break it out and color it for practice.

I thought it turned out okay.

As for the last piece, I promised I’d elaborate on it more and I shall.

The last piece, The Caves of the Slothful, is the uncolored version of official artwork for Perdition. If you donated enough to our kickstarter, there’s a chance you might be getting a print of that very piece.
It was done, as most of our work is, in the style of Gustave Dore, with EXTREME EXTENSIVE HATCHING.

The thing about hatching is that it always takes forever. Always.
The process demands meticulousness and precision by its very nature, and so what’d normally take five hours goes into days and days and days, because if you hack it, or do a slapdash job of it, it immediately shows.

And I just had to pick a dark environ for the piece, didn’t I.
