“YumYums”
So for a good portion of the day a few days ago I was working on a drawing with some complex architectural elements in it.
I don’t know if any of you have done any architectural drawing before, but it is a PAIN IN THE ASS. Specifically, a pain in MY ass, when I’m the one who’s drawing it.
Using a ruler and measuring and drawing and checking to see if everything is lined up straight and maybe erasing and doing it again cause its just slightly off to the left and then measuring the angle to make sure the perspective is right and then drawing one line and then checking to see if everything is lined up straight and then drawing another single line and then checking to see if everything is lined up straight-
-is kind of tedious.
The end result looked pretty good, and I’ll post it up here later, but for the sake of my sanity and my not-ripping-my-sketchbook-into-a-tasteful-MoMa-worthy-collection-of-little-torn-pieces-ness I took a break in the middle of doing it so I could sketch out something really organic, really fast.

And here’s the result. A guy eating something.

Yumyum. “YumYums”
